Desiree de Moya, Esq.

I have practiced divorce law, family law, bankruptcy and immigration for over 30 years. I provide personal and professional counsel to every client, taking the time to build a strong working relationship so that I thoroughly understand a client’s unique legal needs and objectives to provide practical legal solutions for difficult issues.

While I zealously advocate for my client’s rights, I bring a practical perspective to every case. I’m acutely aware of the emotional, physical, and financial toll litigation has on a client. I’m here to help, not make an already difficult situation worse or bury my client in legal fees. I will not take a case unless I’m prepared to give it my full attention and commitment.

My goal, with every client, is to become the “family attorney,” the attorney you can turn to when a legal issue arises. Because of my commitment to personal and professional counsel, my willingness to listen without judgment, and to offer practical solutions, over 90% of my clients are referred by existing or former clients and other attorneys.

My priority is to form a strong relationship with my client, my client’s case is as important to me as it is to them. I believe that attorney and client must work together as a team so that the client fully understands the applicable law, each step of the process, and its significance to the outcome. While the client makes the ultimate decisions regarding their case, I believe it is my responsibility to zealously represent them and ensure they have the information necessary to make fully informed decisions.

Yokairy Tavarez, C.M., PA

I provide professional assistance to the attorneys in the areas of matrimonial and family law and immigration. I currently manage an individual caseload and support Desiree de Moya, Esq. and the Associates of the firm by assisting with all aspects of litigation, including extensive financial discovery production in complex divorce cases, trial preparation, case management, motion practice and submission. I am committed to assisting clients in all matters with compassion and transparency.

I began my legal career handling Real Estate and Probate/Administrative cases for a general practice firm, becoming well-versed with the closing process and Surrogate’s Court in New York City. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree from CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice, I worked with a music corporation in the field of Entertainment Law, before moving on to a Criminal Defense practice and liaising with law enforcement, prosecutorial and judicial parties within Federal, Circuit and County Courts. While working with a sole practitioner in the Bronx exclusively handling the firm’s Matrimonial, Estate Planning, Real Estate, Probate and Tax caseload, I decided to narrow my focus exclusively on Matrimonial and Family Law and became a mediator certified in Divorce and Child Custody & Visitation Mediation, as well as an AACFL Certified Divorce Financial Paralegal.

Currently, I am pursuing my Juris Doctor degree with NWCU School of Law.

Alexandra R. Bisesi, Esq., Of Counsel

I specialize in matrimonial and family law in Rockland, Westchester, Orange and Bronx Counties. I currently serve on the Board of Governors for the Hudson Valley Hispanic Bar Association, Board of Directors for the Independent Office of Assigned Counsel, Board for Yonkers Lawyers Association and 100 Hispanic Women – Westchester Program.

I have a passion for getting involved with people. Before joining de Moya & Associates over 10 years ago, during law school, I was a volunteer at the Pace Women’s Justice Center where I worked with low income clients on Orders of Protection and domestic violence. My motto is Good Thinking and Practical Solutions. I bring energy, enthusiasm and lots of practical knowledge to all my cases while focusing on achieving our client’s objectives. Being prepared, thorough and paying attention to detail are all important assets that I bring to each case. I am invested in each client, always advocating zealously and striving to achieve the best possible outcome for them. Over the course of my legal career, I have shown my track record for success, dedication to clients, passionate advocacy skills and most importantly communicating effectively with each client I represent.
